"We don't always have a choice how we get to know one another. Sometimes, people fall into our lives cleanly—as if out of the sky, or as if there were a direct flight from Heaven to Earth—the same sudden way we lose people, who once seemed they would always be part of our lives."

I feel the white hot fist
Of your desire
Still
Sear my body...
Usurp
My will.
My will.
Its clench
An iron-cuffed kiss
Eclipsed
Upon these lips
Your craven fingers
Tremble to clasp
a smoky phantom's
Stigmatic
Imprints...
Branding
This broken creature
You yoke.
Wrench the leaden weight
Of that stony fear
Free
Release me...
And with open palm
Caress
A love
More bold
Bare your hands
And let's embrace
A time more worthy
Let the Past
At last
Relinquish
Our binds of old

Haha
Ben Sparrow and I are having a bit of fun here on the Spazz.
This poem was originally conceived as a comment on Ben's beautiful poemClenched which he wrote as response to my poem Unwrapped. (He threatened to spank me if I didn't post it, the brute!!! So being the obedient girl I am, I posted it.)
(Oh & yes, both titles are links to the poems. Do check out Ben's poem, befriend the man, subscribe to him & make sure to look in comments, too, there you will find my impromptu poetic reply which I edited quite a bit here... Tell me which version you like better, my free flow or my "crafted". Curious minds NEED to know)
